A few points...

  • We either add them to our collection or sell them in the BookCellar at our discretion.
  • We cannot accept:
    • text books three years old or older
    • Reader's Digest Condensed Books
    • encyclopedias
    • records
    • periodicals
    • annual reports
  • Please no musty books or books in poor condition.

Donations help build our collection and our coffers.

Ask for the tax letter at the Circulation Desk. This is a receipt to show a donation to this library, a not-for-profit organization. We cannot appraise your donation's worth.


CD, DVDs, books on CD - donate them here!Please donate books, movies, music, audiobooks to the Used Book Store - The Book Cellar. (Some donated items will be placed in the library's collection.)


Gift baskets from local merchants and others are raffled off at the Circulation Desk, Book Cellar and Children's Department of Abington Free Library and at Roslyn Branch Library. Donations for this are gratefully accepted year round.


Donate unique, small collectibles, accessories, jewelry and miscellaneous items to be put into the November Silent Auction in the Display Case. Donations are gratefully accepted from NOW to October 26, 2007.

Silent Auction Rules:

1. Look at the jewelry in Abington Free Library's Display Case,

2. Find the page in the bidding book for the item by its number.

3. Write down in the bidding book:

  • the amount you wish to bid,
  • your name
  • address and
  • phone number.

4. Those with the highest bid will be called to purchase their jewelry after the auction. Please come by the Circulation Desk to pay for and pick up your items.

The “Bidding Book” will be closed at
4 p.m., Saturday, Nov 29.
 

No further bids will be accepted after that time!

The jewelry will be sorted Monday, Dec 1, in the morning. 
Winners will be notified after that. 
You may call after 1:00 p.m. on Dec 1.
