SUMMER
READING
CLUB |
|
|
Children of ALL ages may participate in Summer Reading Club by reading independently, reading with others, or being read to by a friend or family member. Children read for at least 20 minutes a day and record the titles in a log. |
|
Children will receive a free sticker or stamp at the library for every book read. Books on CD, graphic novels and magazines also count toward summer reading. |
Bring your children in to register starting June 18. (Those who have signed up through school do not have to re-register.) Each child will receive a reading log, a coupon for a free Rita’s water ice, and a place on our recognition wall.
All children must have Abington library cards. |
Reading logs may be turned in to Abington Free Library or Roslyn Branch Library any time between August 9 and September 9. Every child who turns in a log will receive a free book.

If you check out ten books or more you can fill out a raffle ticket to win a $25.00 gift certificate to George's Dreshertown Shop N' Bag!
You may enter as often as you like. Drawing will be held in September. |
Roslyn Branch Library registrants will receive a time log that is redeemable for prizes upon completion of 5, 10 and 15 hours of reading while supplies last. |

Young adults who participate
in teen programs
(including Summer Reading Club, Roslyn Reads, volunteering, participating in our raffle, etc.)
will receive coupons which are redeemable for prizes. |

Children ages 5 and up can play the
MAKE A SPLASH AT YOUR LIBRARY GAME.
Earn coupons which you can trade for prizes from
our treasure chest. You can participate at any time. |

Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; 11 am-6 pm.
Saturday, 11 am-2pm.
The library is closed Wednesdays and Sundays.

Pajama Parties

Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring a stuffed animal to cuddle.
Registration begins Aug. 30.
Please register for each program separately.
If you are unable to attend one or more sessions, kindly call the library in advance. This will allow others

Join us at the Roslyn Library for a celebration of
Henry and Mudge
Henry and Mudge have lots of
adventures together.
One adventure is when they
visit Henry's great grandpa
and have a great time swimming!
Another is when Henry celebrates his birthday!
Read any or all of the books about Henry and Mudge and come prepared to share them with a small group.
We'll be doing a fun craft and
enjoying a delicious snack.

Learn How to Knit?
This is your chance!
A local Roslyn resident
will be at the branch on
Monday, Nov. 22, 6:30-7:30
to teach children and adults knitting basics.
Bring your own needles-at least a size 10.
Bring a ball of worsted weight yarn (No. 4)
in a solid color.
This class is for ages 9 and up.
A maximum of 8 people may sign up.

Barnes & Noble Bookfair
Support Abington Township Public Library!
On Saturday, December 11, all day,
there will be a bookfair at the
Barnes & Noble in Willow Grove, 102 Park Avenue
A percentage of the net sales will be donated to the library.
Present voucher which will soon be available at the library or on the website: abingtonfreelibrary.org
Activities from 10-4 p.m. include crafts, story times, and ThinkFun games.
Note: You may present your voucher to any Barnes & Noble store on that day to benefit the Abington Library!
